This tee is inspired by: ✨Juana Inés de la Cruz ✨
In a letter, Juana signed “I the worst of all”, after she was censored and was stripped of her freedoms. Not only did she lose her library, with more than 4,000 books, but she was also forbidden to publish, and had to dispose of all her scientific equipment.
Sor Juana is considered to be the first feminist in the Americas. She stands as a national icon of Mexican identity, and her image appears on Mexican currency. "The Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize" for Literature was named after her, it is awarded each year to the female author of a novel originally published in Spanish. She is also known as "la décima musa" and "Phoenix of Mexico".
