This tee is inspired by ✨Queen Boudica✨
Boudica’s design is drawn from the crescent moons, a powerful symbol of the Iceni tribe, featured on their own coins.
After a series of brutal acts by the Romans, including the enslavement of her daughters and other family members, Boudica united the Iceni tribes to rise up in rebellion in AD 61. Her army struck a powerful blow, defeating the Roman Ninth Legion and destroying the Roman capital of Britain in Colchester. They went on to ravage London and Verulamium (St Albans), leaving thousands dead. Though ultimately defeated by the Roman army, Boudica’s courage and defiance made her a folk hero and a symbol of freedom and justice, her legacy immortalized with a statue commissioned during the Victorian era.
